PicksHub is an early-stage Canadian sports media startup building a up-to-date publication for fans who want more than scores and headlines. We cover football and major North American sports through news, analysis, original features, and transparent model-based predictions.

We’re building PicksHub around a simple idea: sports coverage should help fans understand not only what happened, but why it happened and what could come next. Alongside our editorial publication, we’re developing our broader brand, audience, and digital products as PicksHub grows.

As a young publication, we’re still expanding our coverage and experimenting with new formats, voices, and ideas. We want PicksHub to become a place where both established contributors and emerging writers can produce thoughtful, useful sports journalism.

Description

PicksHub is looking for aspiring sports journalists, students, and knowledgeable sports fans who want to build real publishing experience and strengthen their writing portfolio.

This is a supplementary contributor opportunity alongside PicksHub’s regular editorial coverage. Contributors can pitch original article ideas across the sports they follow, work through our editorial review process, and have approved pieces published on PicksHub under their own byline.

This opportunity is designed for people who are still building experience.



You do not need a professional journalism background, but you should have strong knowledge of the sports you want to cover and be able to communicate ideas clearly.

Contributors may write news features, analysis, opinion pieces, previews, explainers, or other original sports content depending on their interests and approved pitches.
