Analyze, evaluate, and approve/decline credit applications within authorized lending limits and company policies. Review complex, exception, and escalated credit requests, providing recommendations to senior management when required.

Communicate credit decisions, terms, and conditions to dealers through portals or by phone. Handle dealer and customer complaints, credit decision appeals, and escalations within authorized parameters. Serve as the primary resource for analysts on complex credit decisions and provide daily coaching and guidance.

Train, mentor, and monitor recent analysts, providing ongoing support and performance feedback. Assist with team scheduling, vacation coordination, staffing coverage, and performance management activities. Prepare credit, dealer, market, and regional analyses to support business performance.

Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and special projects. Attend dealer meetings to provide credit expertise and gather feedback on products and programs.



Recommend policy and procedure improvements and stay current on industry trends, products, and competitive practices.

Knowledge and understanding of basic credit bureau reports. Knowledge and understanding of detailed financial statement and ratio analysis. Knowledge of standard office software. Automotive lending and/or leasing experience would be considered a definite asset.

Written and oral English is a must, bilingual French is required. Excellent report writing and communication skills (written and verbal). Requires robust analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to underwrite loans and mitigate risk.

Requires the ability to successfully negotiate business transactions with automotive dealers.
