School We are looking to hire a temporary 28.0 hour per week Education Assistant to work at St. Paul School in Lethbridge. This position is covered by the CUPE 1825 Support Staff collective agreement.

The Education

Assistant provides support to children with a wide range of needs in the learning environment under the direction and supervision of the Inclusive Education Lead, the classroom teacher, and the principal.

Certificate and/or Diploma or Rehabilitation Practitioner Certificate and/or Diploma or equivalent

- Work Experience ~ At least one-year experience working with students with special programming needs.

First

Aid training

- Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments Training (SIVA) Certificate is considered an asset




- Training and experience with augmentative communication systems;

Experience working on academic goals with students who have multiple barriers. Understands that it is of paramount importance to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of the school community

- Willing to participate in recent learning opportunities
- The starting rate for this position is $25.26 per hour.
