The Application Support Engineer I combines hands-on application support with engineering-focused troubleshooting across enterprise platforms. Engineers will resolve production issues, support business operations, and gain exposure to system behavior, data flows, and application architecture. This is an entry-level role designed to develop future application engineers.

This role is part of Ryder’s Technology Talent Incubator Program—an accelerated career pathway designed to launch the next generation of technology professionals. You’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting enterprise systems while building exposure to cutting‑edge areas such as cloud platforms, cybersecurity, data engineering, and artificial intelligence. Through real‑world problem solving, mentorship, and continuous learning, the program is designed to fast-track your growth and prepare you for future roles across Ryder’s technology organization, including engineering, data, automation, and security-focused positions.

Troubleshoot and resolve well-defined application incidents and service requests using documented procedures. Perform data corrections, user support, and basic configuration updates within established guidelines. Escalate issues that are not clearly defined or require deeper system changes, while assisting in resolution by gathering logs, reproducing issues, and providing detailed documentation and analysis.

Assist in debugging efforts by gathering logs, reproducing issues, and supporting testing activities. Identify recurring issues and flag patterns to senior engineers for further investigation.
