Industries is looking for a mechanically skilled Field Technician (Forklift or Heavy Equipment Mechanic) to join our Service team in Mississauga, Ontario. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers. As a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include: Diagnosing, repairing, and completing routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery Maintaining effective and consistent communication with the Service Dispatcher regarding ongoing Service jobs, and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner Discussing Service job details with customers and communicating a clear understanding of the job scope and repair requirements Communicating with the Parts department via phone and email to ensure required parts are ordered,



and preparing required parts before visiting job sites Reporting any safety incidents promptly and adhering to all safety policies At least 5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson’s ticket or a Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset Previous experience working on Linde Forklifts would be a robust asset Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience an asset Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts High school diploma Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region is required Hansler Industries is proud to offer competitive compensation and flexible benefits coverage for all eligible employees, including an employer matching RRSP plan: Company paid medical health care plan for you and your dependents Dental plan, vision plan, and prescription drug coverage Annual health care spending account Life Insurance, short term disability, and travel insurance Employee assistance programs The base pay range for this role is: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
