We’re recruiting a Financial Controller on behalf of our client, a successful and growing hospitality organization with a robust reputation for delivering exceptional experiences. Reporting to the COO, the Controller will lead the day-to-day finance and accounting function, overseeing financial reporting, month-end closing, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, compliance, and internal controls.
They bring a polished and intelligent presence, balanced by an easygoing, personable style and the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift. Own the full accounting cycle, including month-end closing, reconciliations and the general ledger, delivering accurate financial statements on schedule Manage cash flow, AR/AP and working capital,
providing visibility into the company’s financial position and needs Build and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes and finance systems Keep the organization compliance on tax and regulatory filings, liaising with the CRA, external accountants and financial partners as needed Grow a high‑performing finance team and act as a trusted financial advisor to the COO and operational leaders Post‑secondary education in finance and/or accounting Completed CPA designation or in progress is an asset Minimum 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience within the hospitality industry is an asset Experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset 3 weeks’ vacation + closure for Christmas #
