The Manager, Operational Projects leads the planning, coordination and execution of strategic initiatives across the No Frills banner in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. This retail operations role partners across functions to deliver projects that strengthen the core business and improve the in-store customer experience. Coordinate strategic initiatives and projects through the full project lifecycle across merchandising, pricing and promotions, marketing, operations and capital.
Act as a key liaison among project stakeholders, including Operations, Capital Planning, Merchandising, workstream leads, strategic partners and project managers. Manage project execution components in partnership with the project team, including phasing plans, fixture ordering and planogram releases. Lead the setup and coordination of on-site teams responsible for executing new business strategies and project launches.
Collaborate with Capital Planning and project leads to support a multi-year roadmap for business transformation and project implementation. Oversee and contribute to regular reporting on project pilots, progress, risks and outcomes. Maintain and communicate a planning calendar that consolidates and prioritizes format-based activities.
Build and maintain a repository of current and future strategic initiatives to support broader execution planning.
Capture, document and share project execution feedback and lessons learned with stakeholders to improve future project delivery. 3-5 years of relevant work experience; Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver project objectives in a fast-paced, changing environment. ~ Comfort working with ambiguity, shifting priorities and cross-functional stakeholders. ~ Experience executing retail projects and strategies, including leading on-site teams toward a defined outcome. ~ Strong retail systems and operational knowledge is preferred, including SAP, BOSS, planograms, floorplans and IPFR, or the ability to learn new technologies quickly. ~ Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. ~ Ability and willingness to travel to communities across Ontario and Atlantic Canada, as required. ~ Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required to support in office setup and project execution.
