The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board is seeking qualified and committed educators to fill Long Term Occasional (LTO) teaching assignments. LTO teachers play a vital role in providing continuity of instruction and student support during extended staff absences. These positions offer the opportunity to work collaboratively in a Catholic learning environment that values faith-based education, academic excellence, and student well-being.
Deliver and assess curriculum expectations in alignment with the Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines across a range of grade levels
- Foster a classroom culture that promotes equity, belonging, and student voice
- Establish positive and respectful relationships with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the wider school community
- Participate actively in career development and cooperative school initiatives
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events, as appropriate
- Bachelor of Education (B.Valid Certificate of Qualification and Registration with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
- For FSL positions, please note that first consideration will be given to applicants with FSL Qualifications and then to applicants who are bilingual
- Additional Qualifications (AQs) in relevant subject areas are considered assets
- Demonstrated knowledge of current educational practices, inclusive education, and culturally responsive teaching
- Long Term Occasional assignments will terminate as shown above, or the return of the permanent teacher, but no later than June 26, 2026. As a condition of employment, all successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) in accordance with the Education Act.
