Reporting to the Director, Office of Apprenticeship, the Manager, Apprenticeship Operations provides operational leadership and management oversight for apprenticeship coordination, engagement, and administrative functions within the Office of Apprenticeship (OoA) at NAIT.
The manager is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of apprenticeship operations, the coordination and execution of the Women Leading and Building Canada's Future (WLBCF) initiative (with future opportunity to lead additional apprenticeship initiatives targeting underrepresented or deserving groups), and and driving process improvement and data-informed decision-making across the apprenticeship function.
The manager leads a team of apprenticeship coordinators and indirectly leads engagement staff and administrative support personnel. This position plays a central role in translating the OoA's strategic direction into operational outcomes, ensuring that apprenticeship services are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with AIT requirements and NAIT institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the day-to-day operational delivery of apprenticeship services across NAIT, including apprenticeship coordination, engagement initiatives, sponsorship support, apprentice administration, operational flowsheet & seat management, and funding related administration.
- Directly and indirectly leads, supervises, develops, and supports staff within the Apprenticeship Operations function, including apprenticeship coordinators, engagement coordinators,
and administrative support roles.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented team culture.
- Manages the operational execution of externally grant funded initiatives. This includes, grant creation, administration & reporting, committee support, and day-to-day program administration.
- Supports the Director in fulfilling the project sponsor and steering/advisory committee roles. Ensures all program deliverables, reporting obligations, and partner communications are completed on time and to standard.
- Support with the continuous improvement of operational processes across the institution, targeting high quality and delivery excellence.
- Develops and maintains operational dashboards, performance metrics, and reporting tools that support evidence-based decision-making within the OoA.
- Manages data related to apprenticeship registrations, enrolments, progression, and grant allocations.
- Future focused mindset translating apprenticeship strategy into operational reality.

Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyperson certificate with business/leadership experience and/or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g.
Business
Administration, Operations Management, Education, or a related discipline) is required
- Equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible operational management experience may be considered
- Experience in apprenticeship, skilled trades,
and post-secondary environments is a strong asset

The compensation range for this job posting is : $104,678.38 - $138,682.55
