The Purchasing
Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that we have the right product in the right place at the right time. You have a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, you take a proactive approach in reviewing systems and processes to make recommendations for continuous improvement. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure optimum acquisition of materials, supplies and services at the best price and terms.
Use ERP/MRP systems, spreadsheets, and other tools to manage inventory and create analytical reports for upper management and make sound purchasing decisions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers focusing on vendor performance. Supervise and manage the daily activities of the purchasing team.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure contract compliance. With a forward thinking,
growth mindset- Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures. Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Works well under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities and various constraints related to Supply Chain. 3-5 years of previous purchasing experience preferred. ~ Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and/or Pipe Valves & Fittings product is a strong asset.
