Niagara On The Lake Long Term Care Residence The Hairdresser reports to the Executive Director and is expected to provide services and meet the expectations set out in the contract. We are seeking a professional Hairdresser to provide services to residents as an independent contractor. This opportunity offers the flexibility to operate your own business within our home while delivering quality care services to residents.
Service fees and salon space rental arrangements will be established in collaboration with the Executive Director, and a formal service agreement outlining the terms and conditions will be developed and signed by both parties. As a Hairdresser, you will be given high expectations, as well as an expectation to continue personal growth and professional growth. The services to be provided by the hairdresser/barber, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, will include the following: Responsible for providing high quality hair care services to both male and female residents. Responsible for coordinating residents hairdressing/barber appointments in conjunction with nursing staff. Responsible for portering the residents to and from the hairdressing room.
Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the salon and following current infection control measures.
Responsible for purchasing required hairdressing/barber supplies and other materials as may be necessary. Responsible for maintaining and keeping in valuable standing licenses required to be maintained by hairdresser/barber by any regulatory authorities.
Responsible for record keeping of all applicable hair care charges invoiced to the respective residents. Responsible for being present at the facility an adequate number of hours per week to service the residents’ needs. Must hold a Certificate of Qualification (licensed) by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities As a condition of employment, candidates are required to submit documented results of TB testing (within the last six months or within 14 days upon hire) or a chest X-ray (within the last year), as per Public Health requirements As part of our recruitment process, we may use secure, limited AI tools to assist with administrative tasks such as organizing applications or analyzing role alignment.
