BOXX Modular (Canada) rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. We work with our customers to design and deliver customized solutions, and provide additional services such as delivery and installation, furniture rentals and other add-ons. We are hiring for a full-time Branch Manager in Kelowna, BC.
The Branch
Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the branch, ensuring the business delivers against its financial, operational, sales, customer, asset, and people objectives.
The Branch
Manager leads day-to-day branch operations, drives sales growth and profitability, develops and maintains strong customer relationships, manages fleet and financial performance, and builds and coaches a high-performing team. The role is accountable for ensuring the branch operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with BOXX Modular's policies, standards, and business objectives.
The Branch
Manager works collaboratively with regional leadership and functional partners to identify growth opportunities, optimize fleet utilization, deliver a consistent customer experience, and achieve branch revenue and profitability targets. is a results-driven leader with strong sales, operational, financial, customer, and people management experience.
Business Development
Develop and execute the branch business plan and sales strategy in alignment with Company revenue, profitability, and growth objectives. Assign sales territories, establish sales goals, and provide direction and coaching to the sales team. Identify and develop new market and customer opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Lead and support sales representatives in developing opportunities, proposals, presentations, pricing, and customer solutions. Support significant bids, RFPs, contract negotiations, and customer presentations as required. Maintain relationships with key customers and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Monitor sales pipeline, activity, conversion, revenue, margin, and other key sales performance indicators. Ensure customer, opportunity, pricing, quote, contract, and sales activity information accurately and consistently maintained within the Company's CRM. Identify competitive threats, market trends, and emerging opportunities and communicate relevant market intelligence to regional leadership.
Partner with Marketing and other functions to support local business development initiatives, trade shows, customer events, and market development activities. Provide timely feedback to regional leadership regarding sales performance, opportunities, risks, and market conditions. Operational & Fleet Management Ensure effective coordination between Sales, Service, Administration, and Operations to support successful customer and project delivery.
Manage branch inventory and fleet assets, including asset utilization, condition, maintenance, refurbishment, and required documentation. Monitor fleet requirements and identify opportunities to improve asset utilization and performance. Support quarterly and annual CAPEX planning and submissions in collaboration with regional leadership.
Ensure branch facilities, equipment, inventory, and Company assets are appropriately maintained and managed. Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across branch activities.
Financial
Management & Reporting Develop and manage branch operating budgets and forecasts, including revenue and expenses. Monitor branch financial performance, identify variances, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Control branch expenses in alignment with approved budgets and business requirements.
Oversee branch billing, leasing, accounts payable, credit approval, and accounts receivable processes as applicable. Provide timely reporting and insight to regional leadership regarding branch financial and operational performance. Establish clear roles, responsibilities, goals, and performance expectations for employees.
Provide regular feedback and coaching and address performance or behavioral concerns in a timely manner. Identify employee training and development needs and support appropriate development opportunities. Partner with Human Resources and Recruitment on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, customer-focused,
and high-performance culture aligned with BOXX Modular's values. Ensure employees comply with applicable health and safety requirements, Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ensure operational and fleet activities are performed in accordance with applicable transportation, environmental, integrity, and safety requirements.
Identify operational and safety risks and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken. Promote accountability for safe work practices across employees, contractors, vendors, and branch operations. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. 8+ years of progressive experience in sales, operations, rentals, or a related customer-focused industry, preferably within B2B rentals, modular space solutions, construction, or an asset-intensive setting. ~5+ years of progressive leadership experience with responsibility for developing and managing teams. ~ Working knowledge of Salesforce and NetSuite is considered an asset ~ Demonstrated experience managing sales performance, operations, budgets, forecasting, and financial results. ~ Proven ability to develop customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and support revenue and profitability growth. ~ Experience managing fleet, inventory, safacilities, or other business assets is considered an asset. ~ BOXX Modular (Canada) is a business unit of Black Diamond Group.
