Program Coordinator, Pathways Adult Learning Foundations (Brooks Campus) Competition Number: 126189 Type: Contract Temporary, Full-Time Medicine Hat College – Brooks Campus is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Program Coordinator to manage the Pathways Adult Learning Foundations program . This is a full-time, 35 hours per week contract, which will run from ASAP to June 30, 202 7 . T here is also a strong potential for contract renewal beyond the initial term.

The successful candidate will be responsible for program coordination, volunteer recruitment and engagement, community engagement, collaborations and partnerships and learner support to ensure the success of adult foundational learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult foundational learning, literacy programming, volunteer engagement and recruitment, and community development. A strong understanding of adult learners, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing program needs are essential.





Establish and maintain a variety of multiple and strong relationships with a diverse number of community organizations and stakeholders to develop and collaborate shared programming for adult foundational learners in Brooks, Alberta. Conduct adult learner intakes, registrations, and referrals into existing and new programs. Recruit, retain, train and manage a large volunteer tutor pool to support adult foundational learners in the community of Brooks.

Collaborate with partners and maintain contact with community supports to create a network for adult learners. Receive coaching and mentorship through a career development provider. Utilize digital tools effectively, including MS Office, online meeting platforms, social media, and website updates.

Collect, enter, maintain, and verify program data and participant records, ensuring accuracy and completeness for reporting requirements.
