We are seeking a

Geotechnical Engineer, Hydro

to support major dam, reservoir, and hydropower projects across Canada. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced geotechnical professional looking to work on technically challenging infrastructure projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and industry specialists.

What You’ll Do

Support the design and analysis of dams, reservoirs, dykes, spillways, and hydropower infrastructure.

Participate in dam safety reviews, inspections, and geotechnical assessments.

Support or manage geotechnical and multidisciplinary project teams.

Complete technical analyses and contribute to high-quality engineering reports and deliverables.

Work closely with clients, technical specialists, and project teams across Canada.

Support proposals, business development, and new project opportunities.

Contribute to innovative approaches including numerical modelling, digital tools, and climate-resilient infrastructure solutions.





Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.

Travel occasionally within Canada for project and site work.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s or PhD is an asset.

7+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.

Experience with

dam engineering, dam safety, geotechnical design, and/or dam construction.

Knowledge of Canadian dam safety guidelines and relevant industry standards.

Experience with geotechnical software such as

GeoStudio, Leapfrog, or Rocscience

is an asset.

Robust project management, technical analysis, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent technical writing, communication, and client-facing skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
