Role Overview
Microbix is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our QAP Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of liquid and swab-based quality assessment products; operating, routinely caring for, and monitoring equipment; completing product documentation and costing activities; maintaining accurate records of ongoing activities for QAP management; and ensuring that production schedules and timelines are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate with other members of the manufacturing team on production runs.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the course of their work.
- Prepare equipment and supplies according to written procedures to support manufacturing activities.
•Maintain minimum raw material supplies to support manufacturing. •Formulate and prepare coating buffers and reagents.
•Assemble,
package and label liquid and swab based products and medical devices.
- Be involved in the entire cycle of QAP, from bulk production to labeling the final product.
•Adhere to Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMP) with accurate and concise documentation, completing batch records, reports, and non-conformance documents factually, accurately, and in a timely manner.
•Be proficient in using liquid handling equipment (single and multi-channel pipettes, repeater, multiplex pumps, automated fillers).
•Continuously practice aseptic techniques during formulation, product assembly, and final packaging.
Qualifications
•A minimum college diploma as a laboratory technician or a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Molecular Diagnostics, Clinical Microbiology, or a related discipline is required.
Skills and Competencies
•1 – 2 years experience working in clinical laboratory.
•Experience with laboratory assays, procedures, and principles good laboratory practice•
Ability to lift 20 kg.
•Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines.
•Keen attention to detail and strong time management skills.
•Willing to work Monday to Friday and occasional weekends as per manufacturing needs.
Salary & Benefits
•Salary range of $52,000 to $53,500 per annum.
