Tekdata Metal Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer / Project Manager to take ownership of manufacturing projects from initial design through production.The successful candidate will play a key role within our technical team and will be responsible for the design, coordination, and follow-up of multiple projects simultaneously while working closely with production, purchasing, and management.We are looking for a candidate with strong manufacturing experience, particularly in sheet metal and stainless steel fabrication, who is capable of managing technical projects from start to finish.Project ManagementTake ownership of projects from initial design through manufacturing; Plan and coordinate the various stages of assigned projects; Establish project schedules and technical deliverables; Monitor projectprogress and timelines; Coordinate technical requirements with production, purchasing, and management; Identify technical risks and issues and implement appropriate solutions; Ensure technical documentation is complete and available within required timelines; Follow up on issues that may impact manufacturing or project delivery; Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and workflows.Design & Technical SupportDesign and modify parts, assemblies, and equipment according to customer requirements; Prepare the technical documentation required for manufacturing; Review and validate drawings and documentation prior to release for production; Ensure designs are suitable for available manufacturing processes and capabilities; Work directly with production teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues; Develop practical solutions to challenges encountered during fabrication; Participate in design optimization to reduce costs, lead times,
