As a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team, the Registered Nurse will collaborate in the provision of therapeutic services for clients with primarily acquired brain injury and mental health rehabilitation needs.
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- Heart and Stroke Foundation CPR course at the Heartsaver Plus level
- Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years in the field of neurological rehabilitation with acquired brain injury
- Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years with clients who have mental health needs
- Demonstrated cooperative approach to daily interactions that support respectful and effective working relationships with clients, families, the rehabilitation team and the community
- Demonstrated sound professional judgment and initiative based on training and experience
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated team leadership, staff training and mentoring skills to work both independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision
- Evidence of commitment to continuing education
