Status: Full Time Providence Care Hospital OPSEU 4104 Service Clerical Posting Period : To provide direct professional nursing care to patients requiring mental health services and presenting with less complex care needs. Utilizing the principles of the nursing process and in collaboration with the RN and members of the clinical team, the RPN can provide care to patients with more complex needs within his/her level of competence. The RPN, as a member of the clinical team, contributes to the patient’s journey toward maximum independence and wellness.

Current, unrestricted registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse Must have recent experience in an acute psychiatric setting. Completing a nursing history based on information received from the patient, family and other sources. Developing and recording a goal oriented nursing care plan focused on immediate needs in collaboration with the patient.
