Nakisa is a global leader in AI-powered enterprise software for Human Resources, Financial Management, and Commercial Real Estate (CRE). Nakisa is a global leader in AI-powered enterprise software for Human Resources, Financial Management, and Commercial Real Estate (CRE). We are building the next wave of enterprise applications with Nakisa AI.

Our products use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with secure API integrations to large language models. Customer data stays private and auditable, and we never use client data to train third-party models. This privacy-first design gives enterprises trustworthy AI they can run in production.

What sets us apart is a single platform that connects these functions on shared data models, a focus on high-stakes, compliance-heavy workflows, and a culture anchored in Fairness, Integrity, Service, and Humility. Join us to ship reliable, privacy-first AI at global scale. As a Software Developer at Nakisa, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications used by Fortune 1000 companies around the world.

Working within an Agile team, you will contribute to the full software lifecycle — from architecture and design through implementation, testing, and deployment — helping evolve our product portfolio to meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security. You will collaborate closely with Product, QA, and DevOps as part of our continued shift toward NoOps-driven, cloud-native delivery. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and their corresponding frontend components.

Design and optimize APIs, database schemas, and system architectures. Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code that follows established best practices and design patterns. Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions,

and technical decision-making. Take ownership of assigned components, ensuring their performance, scalability, and reliability, and support related production issues. Work within an Agile, Test-Driven Development (TDD) environment, contributing to sprint planning and continuous improvement.

Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Codex) to improve development speed and code quality. Continuously explore and help introduce new technologies, tools, and best practices across the team. A genuine passion for software development — you enjoy the craft, take pride in your code, and are always looking for a better way to build something.

A strong drive to learn: you're eager to pick up our stack (Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, and beyond) and quickly become fluent in new tools, frameworks, and technologies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with a solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and common design patterns. Curiosity about full stack development — comfortable moving between backend (Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs) and frontend (Vue.js, Angular, or React) work, and excited to deepen that range.

A self-starter mindset: you take ownership of problems, ask good questions, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of an Agile team. Strong problem-solving instincts and a genuine enjoyment of technical challenges. Comfort thriving in a fast-paced,

evolving setting where priorities and technologies shift.

Experience with Java 17+ and building scalable applications using microservice architecture. Proficiency with DevOps and containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins. Knowledge of cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel) and state management libraries (Vuex, Pinia, or similar).

Experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, Elasticsearch, or Apache Flink.

Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Plotly, or ECharts. Proficiency in French and English is an asset for collaboration across our Quebec-based and global teams. Hybrid work (1-2 days in our downtown Montréal office).

Starting at 3 weeks' vacation, a paid week off at year end, an extra paid summer day off, personal and volunteer days, and generous sick leave. Comprehensive health, dental, and life insurance including telemedicine from day one. Free gym access in our downtown office building and half-price Bixi membership.

Social perks: Regular events to unwind with colleagues such as game nights, summer picnic, holiday party, excursions, and more.

Visa or relocation: not available. AI-assisted recruitment Nakisa uses AI-assisted tools, including BrightHire and Greenhouse, throughout our recruitment process. Our first-round interview is conducted by an AI interviewer (BrightHire), and later interviews with our team are recorded and transcribed to support accurate note-taking.

AI-generated outputs, including transcripts, summaries, and structured scoring aids, support our hiring team and are reviewed by people. If you need an accommodation at any stage, or have questions about how your data is processed, contact privacyofficer@nakisa.
