The Position: SRG Safety and Risk Compliance Manager Type: Full-time Reports To: WCH Manager Safety and Risk Compliance Wright Canada Holdings is a prominent leader in several environmental services industries, representing our family of companies across Canada and is comprised of Spectrum Resource Group, Wright Tree Service of Canada, ArborCare® and CNUC of Canada. Lead by example in promoting a safe work environment by consistently adhering to and reinforcing the company's safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Provide daily support, guidance, and coaching to employees and supervisors to ensure a consistent and effective implementation of the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) program. Offer expert advice and assistance as a resource for regulatory interpretation and guidance to Operations and Support Services teams to support the successful execution and maintenance of a robust OHS program.
Coordinate with Operations to understand and document internal and external training requirements for positions. Deliver employee safety orientations, coordinate emergency response training, and organize both internal and external training sessions for operational staff. TRIR) to document compliance and support information requests for bid activities.
Support the development and maintenance of Job Hazard Anal ysis documents, Site Preparedness Plans, Emergency Response Plans , Hazardous Materials Inventory, and related procedures. Assist in conducting joint field audits, providing recommendations to Operations and Support Services management for continuous improvement.
Support managers in identifying training needs and conducting gap analyses across all contracts to ensure workforce competency.
Coordinate and conduct internal audits required for maintaining SECURE and COR certifications. Perform regular field visits throughout the year, with an expectation of increased site presence during peak operational periods. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
Oversee and facilitate safety onboarding processes for subcontractors, ensuring alignment with company safety standards. Coordinate with Claims and Operations to ensure compliance with provincial return-to-work obligations. Strong understanding of applicable safety legislation and regulations in British Columbia and Alberta. ~ Formal training in incident investigation and root cause analysis. ~ NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) certification is preferred. ~ Experience with return-to-work and disability management programs considered an asset. ~ Must possess and maintain Class 5 drivers license and abstract with less than 6 demerits. ~ A safety conscious attitude. ~ Punctuality, dependability, and accountability in the field.
