Guard – Retail Loss Prevention Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 1130-2130 | Sunday: 1130-1930 Allied Universal is seeking an energetic, confident, and customer-focused Security Guard to provide security and loss prevention services at a high-profile retail location in Downtown Toronto. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for customers and associates while representing the location in a professional manner. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, proactive, dependable, and comfortable engaging with customers and retail associates.

The ideal candidate will have strong situational awareness and the ability to respond confidently to security concerns while maintaining a positive customer-first approach. Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the retail environment. Monitor customer and associate activity and identify suspicious or unusual behaviour.

Respond professionally to security incidents, safety concerns, and calls for assistance.



Build positive working relationships with retail associates, management, customers, and other stakeholders. Provide professional customer service and assistance when required.

Support store policies and site-specific security procedures. Conduct regular patrols of the store and designated areas. Use strong observation and situational awareness skills to identify potential security risks.

Respond appropriately to challenging situations using effective communication and de-escalation techniques. Work collaboratively with store management and Allied Universal supervisors to maintain a safe and secure environment. Minimum 1-2 years of security experience, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment.

Valid Ontario Security Guard

Licence. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact comfortably with customers and retail associates. Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods throughout the shift.

High School

Diploma or equivalent. Previous retail security or loss prevention experience.

Experience working in a high-volume retail environment.

Experience interacting with customers in a premium or fashion retail setting. Solid customer service background.

Experience handling theft, suspicious activity, or challenging customer interactions. Ability to represent the brand and store environment in a professional and positive manner. Paid training and professional development opportunities.
