SENIOR ESTIMATOR Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the Senior Estimator is responsible for responding to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and interfacing directly with clients. This role requires a Civil Engineer with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to interpret complex technical specifications, develop design concepts, and manage all aspects of the tendering and bid preparation process. Generate project and business opportunities through customer contact in alignment with BAUER Canada’s business plans and growth strategies Identify strategic selling points for each project and for each Client Prepare and review technical tenders, bids, and tender documentation Interpret and respond to complex technical specifications Visit construction sites to obtain firsthand feedback from the Operations teams Negotiate and communicate complex technical and commercial issues to a variety of audiences Identify and evaluate recent markets through prospecting, web research, and networking Maintain and update client databases and portals Attend and participate in industry events, professional groups, and networking associations Promote BAUER’s mission, vision, values, reputation, code of ethics, standards, policies, and procedures internally and externally Qualified candidates will have a Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar.
