- Design and implement effective quality-engineering testing strategies for complex business requirements
- Advocate for quality within agile teams and participate in ceremonies
- Design and develop detailed test cases for complex use cases and functional requirements
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate application logic and identify defects
- Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams on shift-left testing and automation reuse
- Document and track product defects with reproduction steps and expected and actual results
- Contribute to automation and quality-engineering best practices
- Communicate quality, resource and project issues to management
- Navigate complex challenges and involve others to solve problems and achieve goals
Requirements
- 3-5 years of software QA/quality engineering experience
- Robust experience creating and executing manual and automated test cases
- Experience validating business application logic and financial data calculation accuracy
- Experience with functional, non-functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing of Mainframe and front-end applications
- Hands‑on experience with Tricentis Tosca, Cucumber, Selenium and Python
- Understanding of Agile, DevOps, shift-left, in-sprint testing, CI/CD pipelines, Jira/Confluence and qTest or equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Insurance domain and finance/accounting knowledge preferred
- Experience with SQL, MongoDB, DB2 and IMS preferred
- Familiarity with Java, Python, C# or other programming languages preferred
- Knowledge of BDD and TDD testing frameworks preferred
- Demonstrated prompt engineering in generative AI chatbots and agentic AI for testing preferred
- Enhanced Reliability Clearance is a plus
