The Sr Finance
Manager is a business‑finance partner supporting BU Finance leaders with planning, forecasting, close, and decision support. In this high visible role, you will help guide resource allocation, expense management and investment prioritization across both near‑term planning cycles and long‑term strategy. You will translate complex data into clear and actionable insights, helping leaders to understand performance drivers, evaluating trade‑offs.
As a trusted finance partner, you will empower teams to operate with clarity and accountability. Serve as the primary analytical support for Finance leaders
- Produce concise, leadership‑ready commentary highlighting root causes, risks, and recommended actions.
P&L; Management: Develop deep understanding of the key elements driving the P&L; — including revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory, gross margin (GM), and operating margin (OM)
- Understand and support the development of standard cost models across product lines,
incorporating material, labor, and overhead cost drivers
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and analysis through automation, BI tools, and standardized processes
- Canada tax compliance: Maintain familiarity with Canada local tax policies (e.g., GST/HST) and their implications for financial reporting and business operations, partnering with Tax and Accounting teams as needed to ensure compliance. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. ~10+ years of experience in FP&A;, business finance, management reporting, or financial analysis; technology or semiconductor experience is a plus. ~ Strong understanding of P&L; concepts and operating expense drivers, including labor, contractors, services, software, and travel, and how they flow through forecast and close. ~ Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivots, and Power Query, with demonstrated ability to build scalable, auditable models and templates. ~ Excellent written and verbal English with the ability to communicate clearly with US‑based stakeholders and present concise insights and recommendations. ~ High integrity and comfort working with confidential finance and employee data.
~ Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and/or EPM tools such as Hyperion, and exposure to reporting platforms such as Qlik or Power BI, is preferred. ~ Experience in cost modelling preferred, working knowledge of SQL and/or data visualization tools and the ability to automate repetitive analyses is preferred. ~ Qualified certification such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or an MBA is a plus. Communicates clearly and credibly, translating financial data into concise, business‑relevant insights for leadership. Acts as a collaborative partner across Finance, Engineering, HR, Procurement, IT, and Accounting. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve reporting quality, automation, and process efficiency. The annual base salary range for this role is 119,130 to 170,350 CAD. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact.
