Provide professional supervision, guidance,



and performance management, supporting staff development and promoting best practice. Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are effectively managed and that children’s welfare remains at the centre of all decision-making. Support senior management by contributing to strategic planning, policy implementation, and service development.

Monitor team performance against key performance indicators and ensure statutory responsibilities are met within required timescales. Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of service delivery. Oversee quality assurance activities, including auditing casework and ensuring compliance with legislation, statutory guidance, and council procedures.

A recognised Social Work qualification. Current registration with Social Work England . Significant post-qualification experience within Children’s Social Care. Previous management or supervisory experience within a children’s social work setting.

Strong knowledge of children’s legislation, safeguarding procedures, and statutory guidance.
