On this page About the position Work environment The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) is a special operating agency within National Defence.

We work to ensure the safety of mariners in Canadian waters and protect Canadas marine setting.

We support Canadas economic growth through the safe and efficient movement of maritime trade.

We help to ensure our countrys sovereignty and security through our presence in Canadian waters.

The Canadian Coast Guard Academy is the national maritime training facility of the Canadian Coast Guard.

The CCG Academy develops and delivers specialized training and services in French and English to support our mission and mandate in marine safety, security and environmental protection.

Their unique and specialized training is sought after by organizations around the world.

Each year, highly trained graduates join their colleagues as Coast Guard officers to provide services that are critical to Canadians.

Intent of the process A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Canadian Coast Guard.
