Temporary Speech-Language Pathologist These Indigenous Nations, agreed to mutual sharing obligations and responsibilities as stewards of the land and water. Reporting directly to the Board Lead Psychologist, the Speech-Language Pathologist performs related duties by consulting with school staff, parents, and outside agencies about students with communication difficulties. Assess communication disorders associated with Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Developmental Delay, Learning Disabilities, cleft palate and hearing loss. Develop, recommend, support and provide some direct programming to meet the needs of students with communication delay or disorder.

Monitor student progress to determine on-going appropriateness of speech/language interventions. ~ Make recommendations to principals regarding school level approaches and practices for speech and language needs. Make recommendations to the Superintendent of Student Services for system approaches and needs for speech and language needs. ~ Present reports and attend case conferences to explain results of assessments and implications for programming and interventions to meet the needs of students. Minimum post-secondary education completion of a Master in Speech Language, or equivalent and registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) in positive standing. ~ Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a strong client and quality service focus.
