- Lead and complete RFQs for switchgear after-sales service requests, including spare parts, field service, and projects.
- Support customers with technical questions regarding quotations.
- Ensure seamless order handovers for optimal project execution.
- Create and review opportunities in the Salesforce database.
- Identify and follow up on issues or requests for clarification in quotation documents.
- Establish proposal schedules and milestones, requesting extensions when necessary.
- Collaborate with Front-End Sales teams to develop competitive bids and identify risks.
- Analyze customer specifications and coordinate input from factories and suppliers.
- Schedule customer calls to clarify scope and ensure complete solutions.
- Develop final pricing and complete quotation packages.
- Respond to customer questions and revise offers based on feedback.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- College or university degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- More than 5 years of experience in tendering, proposal preparation, or technical sales for electrical substation equipment and components.
- Robust background in power systems and high-voltage (HV) technology, particularly HV switchgear.
- Knowledge of transformer technology is an asset.
- Proficiency with CRM and BI tools,
as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
- English proficiency is mandatory.
- French proficiency is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must already have work authorization permitting them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
