Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused Straight Truck Driver based out of Dartmouth, NS . This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy local and regional deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Drivers will be responsible for the protected and timely pickup and delivery of freight using a straight truck, ensuring shipments are handled professionally and delivered on schedule.

Operate a straight truck in a safe and professional manner. Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries within the city and surrounding regions. Load, unload, and handle freight safely and efficiently when required.

Verify shipment details and ensure accurate completion of transportation documentation. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Use handheld scanners and mobile devices to track freight movement.

Provide professional and courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries. Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation records.Adhere to all company policies, safety standards,



and applicable transportation regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel, and customers.

Valid

Class 3 driver's license with Air Brake Endorsement (or equivalent licensing required for the assigned vehicle). Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check. Previous commercial driving experience is considered an asset. Strong knowledge of local and regional routes. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle freight when required. Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
