Greater Toronto Area, ON Excavation / Earthworks Foreman Construction Grading Experience, Commercial/Industrial Full-Time | On-Site $53.37 base rate, local 793, Truck + Gas Card OUR CLIENT On behalf of our client, an established and growing heavy civil construction contractor, we are seeking an experienced Excavation / Earthworks Foreman to join their field operations team.

Our client delivers earthworks and site development projects across the region, with a strong focus on quality, productivity, safety, and dependable project execution.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys leading crews, coordinating equipment and materials, and keeping projects moving efficiently in a fast-paced field setting.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and field crews to provide day-to-day leadership and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 5+ years of construction experience, with strong experience in excavation, earthworks, or heavy civil construction Previous experience leading construction crews in a Foreman or similar supervisory capacity Strong understanding of construction drawings, site plans, and project specifications Experience with GPS-based construction layout and machine control systems Ability to coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and daily production requirements Strong communication, organization,



and problem-solving skills Ability to identify discrepancies in drawings and coordinate required changes with project management and site supervision Strong commitment to workplace health and safety Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation Ability to work varying start and finish times depending on project requirements Physically capable of working in an active construction environment Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a construction crew WHAT YOULL BE DOING Lead and coordinate excavation and earthworks crews to complete daily and weekly project objectives Coordinate material requirements and deliveries with the Project Manager, including verifying quantities and delivery schedules Operate GPS systems and other technology used for construction layout and site grading Perform on-site layout in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, and GPS information Review contract drawings and identify potential discrepancies or conflicts Coordinate required changes with the field team, Project Manager, and Site Supervisor Monitor manpower and equipment allocation to maximize productivity and control project costs Complete required field documentation, including daily reports, timecards, quality inspections, and other project records Maintain a clean, organized, and productive job site Ensure equipment, tools, materials,



and supplies are properly maintained and organized Perform hands-on labour and other field duties as required to support project completion Enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and applicable legislation Work closely with project management and site supervision to keep construction activities on schedule and operating efficiently Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
