Make a meaningful impact as a Behaviour Consultant with Halton Region in Oakville. You'll support families and professionals with children’s behavioral needs in a hybrid work setting.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Inclusion Services, you’ll assist caregivers and professionals dealing with children and youth aged two to twenty-one. The focus will be on those with developmental disabilities or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Key skills include behavioral assessment, team-oriented planning, and reflective practice, creating positive change in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build capacity with families and professionals • Provide home and community-based services • Facilitate planning meetings for families • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
Requirements: • University degree in psychology or related field • Minimum two years’ experience in behavior support • Experience with developmental disabilities and FASD • Strong communication and facilitation skills • Valid driver’s license for community travel
