Directs and monitors the daily activities of yard staff and yard operations. Assigns work as per supervisor's direction and follows up to ensure performance standards have been satisfied. Provides instruction and/or schedules training to ensure the development of staff.

Responds to customer inquiries and/or complaints within policy guidelines. Provides material to customers by reading shipping memo, checking for payment, locating and securing goods.



Completes paperwork and assists with the loading of customer vehicles.

Ensures stock inventory levels are maintained, ensures SOQs are completed by the deadline, monitors Store Use Inventory Sheets for accuracy and takes corrective action as required. Completes warning stock notices as required; conducts cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory. Reorganizes or puts material away, operating forklift or manually unloading carts and/or vehicles.

Codes material by length. Assumes the duties of Department Manager during vacations or illness. Other duties as assigned by Management Proven ability and commitment to managing the performance of others; Provide exceptional customer service by inspiring and motivating others through their commitment and personal example Flexible availability based on store needs (includes, days, evenings and weekends) Position requires knowledge of related policies and equipment including how to operate a forklift, banding machine and power saws.

Valid Forklift

Operator’s license and/or training will be required.
