We’re looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and experienced caregiver who is confident and very comfortable caring for infants. Hands-on infant experience is a must, and you should be comfortable with feeding, diapering, soothing, naps, and responding attentively to an infant’s needs.
We also have a dog and multiple cats in our home, so you must be comfortable being around and caring for a home with pets.
The split shift would include both shifts together: starting at 7:00 PM and working through the night until 2:00 AM, then returning for the morning shift from 9:30 AM–2:30 PM.
As this will be our first time trusting someone outside of our family with our little one, finding the right person is very important to us. We’re hoping to build a genuine, trusting, long-term relationship with someone we feel completely comfortable and at ease leaving our baby with.
Reliability, attentiveness, patience,
and genuine confidence in caring for an infant are extremely important to us.
This position could also potentially grow into a more regular part time position over time. Since this is our first experience having a nanny, we’re understandably a little anxious about leaving our baby in someone else’s care. As trust and comfort are built, we would be very open to having the right person become a more consistent and regular part of our family’s routine.
