To perform all aspects of the radiation treatment process: patient care, patient education, simulation, treatment planning, treatment delivery and treatment monitoring within the regional radiation therapy program in compliance with the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario. Perform all radiation treatment and planning procedures to ensure accurate delivery of a prescribed course of radiation therapy including: simulation, treatment delivery, basic dosimetry and brachytherapy

- Educate patients in all aspects of their prescribed treatment in accordance with the teaching standards as set out in MDRCC policy
- Interpret, assess and verify all treatment parameters, including dose distribution, simulator images, treatment accessories and R&V; data
- Perform daily quality assurance procedures for assigned unit
- Maintain updated knowledge of departmental techniques and policies




- Participate in the development and execution of quality assurance procedures
- Graduate of a recognized Radiation Therapy training program with registration with the Canadian Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
- Membership of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists recommended
- Excellent technical, communication and interpersonal skills

- Must have a satisfactory performance record
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient, and environmental safety and participation in regular in service education in this area
