Upon completion of this temporary position the successful candidate will revert to their former position and the filling of subsequent vacancies will likewise be reversed.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)

- Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BScN preferred.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years Emergency experience.
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education and experience with triage
- IV certification.




- Certification in delegated medical acts specific for Emergency Nursing.
- Cardiac module of Critical Care Course or equivalent required, within past five (5) years.
- Certification in ACLS.
- Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Care Course)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- Health teaching skills that demonstrate a broad knowledge of Adult and Paediatric Emergency Care.
- Non violent Crisis Prevention Intervention Training
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills.
