ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)

- Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BScN preferred.
- Current BCLS Certification.
- Cardiovascular Module Certificate of Critical Care Nursing Program from a Community College (within past 5 years).
- Current ACLS certification




- Current Certification in Delegated Medical Acts - Recognition and Treatment of arrhythmias, life saving drugs, application of energy
- Minimum three (3) years current PACU experience (within past 3 years)
- Minimum one (1) year current surgical experience (within past 5 years) preferred.
- Advanced competency in epidural pain management, central and arterial lines
- Acute Pain Management.
- Physical assessment skills.
- Airway management skills.
- Procedural Sedation Certification within 6 months of hiring.
- Member of RNAO preferred.
- Satisfactory attendance.
