Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounting role (Billing, Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping) based in Georgetown, ON. The individual in this role will manage daily billing activities, prepare and issue invoices, reconcile customer accounts, and monitor payment statuses for multiple divisions. They will process accounts payable, verify and code invoices, coordinate payment runs, and maintain accurate vendor records.
The role includes general bookkeeping responsibilities such as posting journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling bank and credit card statements,
and assisting with month-end close. The team member will collaborate with operations and management to resolve discrepancies, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Strong billing and invoicing skills, including accounts receivable management and customer account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounts payable processes, vendor management, invoice coding, and payment scheduling.
- Solid bookkeeping experience with general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and journal entry posting.
- Experience using accounting software and spreadsheet tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar; Microsoft Excel).
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; skilled accounting coursework or certification is an asset.
- Experience in transportation, equipment leasing, or related industries is an advantage.
