Join our expanding team as an Accounting Assistant with a focus on Accounts Payable. Dive into the accounting cycles while enhancing vendor relationships and ensuring timely payments. In this role, you'll support financial operations by processing payables and assisting the Controller.
Your expertise is vital, especially with a solid emphasis on accuracy and detail in bookkeeping. Collaborate with the purchasing team and actively participate in maintaining GL accounts and bank reconciliations. Key Responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Payable transactions efficiently
- Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues
- Ensure timely payments and collect early pay discounts
- Process bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain GL accounts and assist with reconciliations
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Canadian experience
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
