In this one-year contract role, you will harness your expertise in partnership development to strengthen research and innovation across the Okanagan and Thompson-Okanagan regions.
Building relationships with academic institutions like UBC Okanagan and local industry partners is essential. You will identify opportunities, manage projects, and contribute to meaningful community impact while working independently and collaboratively with Mitacs colleagues. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with academic institutions and community partners
- Identify partnership opportunities and connect with talent
- Guide partners on Mitacs programs and application processes
- Engage in outreach to prospective partners and attend events
- Monitor regional developments and share insights with teams
Requirements:
- Advanced degree or relevant experience in partnership development
- Proven relationship-building skills in various environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel within the region for partner engagement
- Knowledge of research funding and proposal development
