Enhance the educational journey of at-risk adolescents with Richmond School District as an Alternate Youth Support Worker. This role offers in office social/emotional support and skill development for secondary students. We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide critical support and intervention for students facing significant emotional and behavioral challenges.
In your role, you will work closely with teachers to develop and implement tailored strategies that promote social skill development and address behavior modifications. You'll have the opportunity to create meaningful impacts on students’ lives and foster a positive learning atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized social/emotional support to students
- Collaborate with teachers to implement support plans
- Communicate regularly with teachers on student progress
- Work independently or with teachers in various settings
- Maintain detailed records of student interactions
Requirements:
- Degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or Psychology
- Minimum 2 years of experience with adolescents
- Knowledge of behavioral issues in youth
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads
