Area Manager, Business Banking – Canterbury Full time, Permanent position As an Area Manager you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the success of your team across your region. Reporting to the Head of Relationships Business, you’ll lead a high-performing team of Business Managers and Senior Business Managers where you’ll champion a collaborative, customer-first culture, working closely with other Westpac leaders in your area to deliver seamless, impactful banking experiences. With responsibility for Canterbury (Christchurch, Ashburton and Timaru), you’ll be expected to travel regularly across the region to support your team and drive collaboration and performance.

Leading and coaching your team to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and strong financial performance. Drive employee engagement, capability development, and performance. Embed robust risk management practices and ensure high-quality customer interactions.

Build strong community and market presence through local engagement. Support process improvement and digitisation initiatives. You Bring a Strong Understanding Of Business Banking And a Passion For Delivering Value To Customers.

Ability to successfully lead a geographically dispersed team using remote collaboration tools.
