What you will do
- Exercise command authority with uncompromising focus on flight safety for crew, passengers, and patients.
- Plan and brief each mission: weather assessment, alternates, fuel strategy, and weight‑and‑balance.
- Operate the Astra in multi‑engine turbine, IFR conditions on domestic and international routes.
- Coordinate seamlessly with dispatch, maintenance, ATC, and ground handling teams.
- Deliver professional service on both medevac (patient transport) and client‑facing charter flights.
- Respond decisively to in‑flight changes and operational challenges; manage dynamic, time‑sensitive schedules.
- Complete accurate post‑flight reporting and documentation.
- Lead with sound decision‑making, clear communication, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach.
Minimum qualifications
- Flight time: 3,000+ hours total time; 500+ hours multi‑engine PIC.
- Licences: Transport Canada ATPL with Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Medical: Valid Category 1 Medical.
- Travel:
Valid Canadian passport; eligible for international travel including to the United States.
- Work eligibility: Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Other: Valid driver’s licence; Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Certificate.
- Background check: Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening completed within the past 30 days.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written English; strong team collaboration skills.
Preferred experience
- Multi‑engine turbine or jet operations in corporate/charter environments.
- IFR, multi‑crew, and long‑range/international operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
- Proven ability to adapt to dynamic schedules and time‑critical missions.
Training & standards
- Completion of initial company training is required.
- Successful PPC with a Transport Canada Inspector or Approved Check Pilot.
- Strict adherence to company SOPs, policies, and all applicable regulations.
