Avionics

Technicians will work independently or as part of a crew performing duties as assigned by their Lead. Develop and maintain expertise on Top Aces aircraft avionics systems, to include troubleshooting, installation and/or repair/overhaul of avionics components

- Be knowledgeable of and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Ensure that Top Aces record of your personal training & qualification is current and accurate and that all assigned tasks fall within qualified competencies




- Ensure the work accomplished on any aircraft or component is in compliance with applicable manufacturer’s recommended standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures
- Ensure inspection, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul or replacement of parts is done in accordance with the Top Aces Policies and Procedure For all aircraft or component maintenance: Ensure that all replacement parts are inspected, eligible and properly certified prior to installation
- Sign for accomplishment of own work on applicable work forms and records, and review forms and records to ensure entries are made in accordance with company policies and procedures Carry out Independent Checks when authorized as per company policies and procedures Perform receiving inspection authority functions as required
- Assist technicians troubleshoot electronic components of the engine (i.e ignition system, engine control unit, harness, etc.), as well as research possible causes of failures in test cell
- Repair and test aircraft batteries Support Top Aces safety programs and Quality Management System
- Attend training courses to ensure continued qualifications.



Assist in the on-the job training and instruction of personnel as required;

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Training in electronicsor an avionics program recognized by Transport Canada, an accredited course, or equivalent military experience.

Experience in an electronics laboratory would be an asset. A team player who is also able to work independently with little supervision. Ability to work on complex projects requiring a high degree of judgment, initiative, and technical and specialized knowledge. Ability to communicate in French. Functional in English language in order to read, understand and interpret manuals, policies and procedures. Bilingual an asset

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime May be required to work outdoors Travel may be required for the position International travel may also be required in this role Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately.

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR: Position requires Controlled Goods Clearance and Level 2 Secret Clearance Multidisciplinary and multicultural collaboration at a local and global level
