The Sweet Escape is a small but very busy bakery/café located in the Distillery District.

We are a fun tight knit team, but you will also be working independently at times.

Duties would include baking a variety of items including preparing doughs and baking cakes , bars and cookies, decorating cupcakes, preparing sandwiches, salad and soup. You will be expected to clean up after and may need to wash dishes.

Our range of products is quite large so you won’t get bored doing the same thing everyday. We are approaching our busy holiday season and need an extra set of hands to help us get stocked up for and to keep our shelves full during the Distillery Holiday Market

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year experience baking, cooking experience is also an asset. This could be a good opportunity for a baking student.

-Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time

-Ability to work quickly and independently, manage your time well, problem solve, manage daily inventory.





-good knife skills

-food handler's certificate is an asset

This is a Part Time Position, 2-4 days per week, hours can be flexible with your schedule. There will be chance for more hours up to full time beginning mid-November. You will need to be able to work weekends and throughout the holidays until January 4th.

It will not be required to work December 25th.

You will get a lunch break with free meal, and actually paid for any overtime worked. Pay will be based upon experience and skill. Bonus will be paid in January.
