About the Role:

The Brick Keyholder Designer, Sales role is a pivotal position that combines creative design expertise with frontline sales leadership within a retail environment.



The primary objective is to ensure an exceptional customer experience by delivering innovative design solutions while managing store operations during keyholder shifts. This role requires balancing hands-on design work with sales responsibilities, including mentoring team members and driving sales targets.

The successful candidate will act as a brand ambassador, fostering strong customer relationships and maintaining high visual merchandising standards. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the store’s profitability and reputation by integrating design excellence with effective sales management.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Proven experience in retail sales with a focus on design or home décor products.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a keyholder or supervisory role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required by retail operations.
- Proficiency in basic inventory management and point-of-sale systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Formal education or certification in interior design, graphic design, or a related field.
- Experience with visual merchandising and retail display design.
- Knowledge of current design software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or CAD programs.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and French, to better serve diverse customer bases in Canada.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment with a strong emphasis on customer service.





Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage daily store operations during keyholder shifts, ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their design needs and provide tailored product recommendations that enhance their experience.
- Create and implement innovative design concepts that align with brand standards and customer preferences.
- Support and mentor sales associates to achieve individual and team sales goals while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising displays to ensure the store environment is attractive, organized, and reflective of current design trends.
- Handle inventory management tasks including stock replenishment and organization to support sales activities.
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Coordinate with management to plan and execute promotional events and sales initiatives.

Design skills are applied to create compelling visual displays and personalized customer solutions that enhance the shopping experience. Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with team members and ensure clear, positive interactions with customers. Preferred skills such as knowledge of design software and bilingual communication further enable the candidate to deliver innovative design solutions and connect with a broader customer demographic, enhancing overall store success.
