Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Location: Saskatoon, SK and Whitecap, SK (in-office)

The Opportunity

Help bring VHH’s new home to life.

This is an opportunity to play a central role in one of the most exciting stages of Virtual Health Hub’s growth: the transition into our new, purpose-built facility at Whitecap.

The Building Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day building operations, leading the operational transition to VHH’s new building, and establishing the systems, services, and resources needed to support effective ongoing operations. You will work with VHH teams, contractors, consultants, vendors, the building owner, and project partners to coordinate building requirements, manage the organizational move, and ensure the new building is operationally ready.

This role matters because VHH is entering an important period of growth and transition. You will have the chance help shape how the building operates. As we prepare to move into our new building, you will play a key role in coordinating construction-related requirements, procurement, space planning, operational readiness, and the organizational move.

Following occupancy, you will take ownership of ongoing building operations, maintenance, building services, vendor relationships, facilities budgeting, and capital planning.

Your work will help VHH establish a safe, functional, and welcoming workplace that enables our teams to deliver virtual healthcare, training, research, and other services effectively.

You will also help build the operational systems and relationships that will support VHH for years to come.

This position is based at VHH’s Saskatoon office with a planned relocation to our new building at Whitecap, SK in Spring 2027.

What You’ll Do:

- Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, security, access, and overall functionality of VHH’s building.
- Lead operational planning for VHH’s transition to the new building, including space planning, procurement, move logistics, building systems, and operational readiness.
- Participate in construction and project meetings, working with project managers, contractors, consultants, and other partners to identify and address VHH’s operational requirements.
- Manage building-related vendors, contractors, service providers, and relationships with the building owner, ensuring services meet VHH’s needs.
- Develop and manage the building operations budget, coordinate procurement, and identify opportunities for effective resource use and future capital investment.
- Establish the operational procedures, maintenance practices, emergency preparedness, and building systems needed to support effective post-occupancy operations.
- Serve as VHH’s primary internal resource for building operations,

providing practical support and recommendations to leadership as building and organizational needs evolve.
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, inclusive, and welcoming workplace.

What You’ll Bring

- Post-secondary education in facilities management, building operations, construction management, project management, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience in building operations, facilities management, construction, project management, or a related field.
- Experience with construction projects, building improvements, capital projects, office moves, or building transitions.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, service providers, and professional consultants.
- Experience with operating budgets, procurement, and purchasing recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of building operations, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and applicable building, fire, accessibility, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and timelines.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new building systems, technologies, and operational requirements.
- Cultural awareness and experience working respectfully with Indigenous and rural communities.
