By joining the Global Finance Systems and Support team, you will help improve the financial systems, business processes, reporting solutions and support services used across CAE’s global operations. You will contribute to practical initiatives selected according to business priorities, your technical aptitude and your learning objectives.
You will gain hands‑on exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Power BI and modern automation solutions. You will also receive mentorship from experienced professionals in enterprise software development, system integration, analytics and automation. AI and Copilot agent development Contribute to the design and enhancement of AI-powered Copilot agents for business users and support teams.
Help connect AI and search experiences to key knowledge sources, including SharePoint documentation, training materials, support procedures, Azure DevOps work items, solution repositories and knowledge base articles. Improve self‑service capabilities by helping users find known solutions, troubleshooting guides, FAQs and previously resolved support issues. Support feedback analysis and knowledge management practices to improve AI responses over time.
Business process automation Automate business processes between SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365 and other enterprise systems. Troubleshoot and enhance existing workflows to improve scalability, performance and reliability. SharePoint development and portal enhancement Develop and enhance SharePoint‑based business applications and service request portals.
Improve the usability, navigation and overall user experience of existing portals. Ensure information stored in SharePoint can be efficiently leveraged by AI‑powered solutions.
Azure
DevOps integration and development Develop and maintain integrations between SharePoint and Azure DevOps. Assist in developing solutions that allow AI tools to reference historical support tickets and issue resolutions.
Support process improvements related to support request management and software lifecycle activities.
Power BI reporting and analytics Design and develop Power BI dashboards and operational reports that provide visibility into support workload, ticket aging, request volumes, service performance, open requests and the impact of automation and AI initiatives. Build reports using information captured in SharePoint, Azure DevOps and other business systems. Knowledge management and continuous improvement Help establish and maintain centralized repositories of support knowledge and best practices.
Identify opportunities to use AI, automation and analytics to improve support efficiency. Basic programming knowledge and a robust interest in software development, automation, AI, analytics or enterprise applications. The ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate with business and technical teams.
Proficiency in English, which is required for collaboration in a global finance environment. French is considered a strong asset, particularly when interacting with local stakeholders in Montréal. The ability to meet security clearance and system‑access authorization requirements throughout the internship.
Experience or exposure to the following is considered an asset: Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI. SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps or Copilot Studio. Data modelling, business intelligence, analytics or dashboard development.
AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, knowledge management, or search and retrieval technologies. Academic, personal or professional projects involving programming, system integration, automation or data visualization.
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field.
Completion of at least one to two years of undergraduate studies. Location of the internship is Montreal Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode (2 days/week minimum) All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal.
They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years. Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
