Make a meaningful impact on children's lives with YWCA Hamilton as a Children's Program Instructor. This temporary position supports after-school programs, offering guidance and education for children aged 4 to 12 while working a flexible schedule. YWCA Hamilton seeks a dynamic Children's Program Instructor for 15 hours a week.
You'll develop quality programming and nurture a safe setting that aligns with the organization's mission. Collaboration with the Recreational Specialist ensures engaging activities that foster children's growth, embodying the values of equity and inclusion. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety through direct supervision and attendance protocols
- Create and implement engaging programs for children
- Maintain open communication with parents and community partners
- Capture and document children's progress and development
- Administer medications according to policy Requirements:
- Completion of 2 years in child and youth programs
- 1-2 years of experience with children
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police check
