ABOUT NUPT
NUPT Ambulance Service provides professional non-emergency patient transportation and medical transfer services throughout Ontario and beyond. We are seeking an experienced, dependable City Dispatcher to coordinate time-sensitive patient transfers and support our field teams, healthcare partners, patients, and families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming calls professionally and collect accurate patient and transfer information.
- Enter booking and transfer information accurately into the dispatch database.
- Assign and dispatch appropriate teams and vehicles based on location, availability, patient requirements, and scheduled pickup times.
- Plan productive routes using Google Maps and other dispatch tools.
- Monitor active transfers and maintain real-time communication with field teams.
- Record arrival, pickup, departure, destination, and completion times accurately.
- Communicate with hospitals, healthcare facilities, clients, patients, and families.
- Provide timely updates regarding delays, schedule changes, and transfer status.
- Coordinate multiple transfers while responding appropriately to changing operational priorities.
- Maintain accurate call logs, transfer records, and dispatch documentation.
- Work collaboratively with management, dispatch personnel, and field crews.
- Protect confidential patient and client information.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of three years of professional dispatching experience.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle for traveling to and from the workplace.
- Robust proficiency with Google Maps, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong data-entry, computer, and telephone skills.
- Ability to type quickly and accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make informed decisions in time-sensitive situations.
- Ability to manage multiple calls and transfers simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and schedule flexibility.
- Willingness to complete a background screening appropriate to the responsibilities of the position.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Dispatching experience in patient transportation, ambulance operations, healthcare, logistics, towing, courier services, or another time-sensitive environment.
- Familiarity with transportation management or computer-aided dispatch systems.
- Experience coordinating with hospitals, healthcare facilities, clients, and mobile field teams.
- Knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions.
