This is an exciting opportunity to play an active role in one of the largest community hospitals engaged in health system transformation.

Reporting directly to the Director of Access & Flow, Clinical Resource Team, Staffing and Scheduling Services, Admitting & Registration and Infection Prevention and Control, the Clinical Services Manager is a key member of the program's leadership team. Leading an interprofessional team of passionate and highly skilled clinicians and team members, the Clinical Services Manager is responsible supporting day to day operations; provide leadership to an inter professional team to employ best practices; effectively communicate and lead process in delivering safe, competent and ethically patient centered care and cost effective services using an evidence-informed and stakeholder engagement approach.

Quality and Safe Patient Care:

Support the implementation of best/leading practices, quality documentation and accountability models

Facilitate an inter-professional collaborative approach to leadership, recognizing and maximizing the unique contribution of each team member

Monitor and respond in a timely manner to quality, safety, risk and other performance/outcome indicators

Promote and facilitate a safe and therapeutic workplace in accordance with best practices for the provision of care

Collaborate with CSM colleagues to promote patient and family centered care in the areas CRT supports.



Responds and addresses issues and or concerns identified by patients and families and internal and external stakeholders in a timely fashion

Coordinate resolution of issues/concerns/ related to operational activities across the CRT program to ensure seamless leadership

Work collaboratively with the CSM's and inter skilled team members to assess clinical and educational needs within the CRT on an ongoing basis

Leadership Responsibilities

Develops and implements the operational and program strategic plans and/or initiatives, in collaboration with the program leadership team

Identifies areas for improvements, secures resources and implements efficient processes/ structure required for safe and efficient operations

Evaluates data and provides feedback to the team on findings to drive timely delivery of exceptional services

Works collaboratively with the Clinical Services Managers, Clinical Educator, Resource Nurses, staff and partners in improving practice, processes, adding value, raising standards, improving effectiveness and delivering high team performance

Monitors and works to improve patient, family and staff engagement results in collaboration with relevant partners

Fosters an engaged, high-performing workforce, seeking and implementing opportunities for improvement

Promotes a collaborative and respectful professional practice environment and fosters an interdisciplinary approach to safe patient care and a positive care experience

Hires, mentors and coaches staff performance as determined by human resource policies, union agreements,



legislation and standards of practice

Develops processes for selecting, evaluating and maintaining material / equipment needed for delivering and enhancing patient care

Develops and maintains effective interdepartmental relationships and participates in activities which contribute to the effective function of the relevant areas

Facilitates staff huddles and chairs team meetings; attends other internal/external meetings, as appropriate

Other duties as assigned such as special projects

Baccalaureate Degree is required, BScN preferred

Relevant Master's Degree preferred

Member and in good standings with a professional health college, required

Demonstrated effective communication, team building, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to engage and work collaboratively with all levels and members of the inter professional team

Demonstrated effective judgment and innovative change leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to utilize quality, safety and risk-based frameworks to facilitate and build the use of critical thinking, priority setting and problem-solving skills across the team

Knowledge of collective agreements and working experience in a unionized environment is preferred

Excellent written, verbal communication and documentation skills

Detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills

Hours

Currently Day shifts, Monday to Friday (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Salary

Minimum: $62.25/hr

Maximum: $77.81/hr
